About Me
Hi, my name is Morten Christiansen and I'm your host. During the day, I work as a lead developer and software architect at Aptusoft in Denmark where I work on our great quality assurance system. At night, I'm a rogue coder, working on a number of strange projects. This website is the outlet for some of these experiments and I invite you to follow along, who knows, you might find something fun.
This is the third generation of this site; following it's development over the years gives an insight into how my skills have grown and my preferences changed. The original mess of a PHP application was replaced by a custom PHP MVC framework. This has now been replaced with an ASP.NET MVC application and I will die a happy man if I should never have to code in PHP again!
Why do I have this site?
I was inspired by Jeff Atwood, one of my programming heroes, who always promotes the value of having your own blog. His blog, as well as the blogs of others, have given me a much broader perspective on the business as a whole and, therefore, I figured I should give my contribution back to this growing pool of knowledge. Besides, having this technical diary will also allow me to keep track of what I have learned and done in my life as a developer and help me reflect on lessons learned.
It has not always been easy to maintain the discipline necessary for running a blog, and the gaps in the archive should show how true this is.
